• Perry Parkway Connection Opening & Ribbon Cutiing

    September 04, 2018
The Village is pleased to announce that the newly completed Perry Parkway Connection between the Oregon Ice Arena and Park Street will be officially opened on Monday, September 10, 2018 following a brief ribbon cutting ceremony.  The public is invited to come and celebrate this important street connection and the completion of a project which has been “on the books” for well over 25 years.
A brief ribbon cutting ceremony with Village Officials, residents, contractors, engineers, and staff will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, September 10, 2018 on North Perry Parkway in front of the Oregon Ice Arena located at 100 North Perry Parkway. Following the ceremony, the barricades will be removed and the public invited to explore the newly completed project.

This important connection of North and South Perry Parkway comes at a cost of almost$1.2 million and has been on a wish list of projects for many years.  The contractor, Parisi Construction and engineer Ruekert-Mielke have done a great job of designing and constructing this challenging project which traverses a wetland and stream crossing.  This project will help improve access to school facilities, improve emergency response times, and will provide alternate vehicle routes and pedestrian access to this area of the Village.

Lastly, the Village will also be commissioning the new yard waste and brush drop off site which has been relocated from its old position within the new roadway alignment.  We hope this new site will provide better drop off efficiency with a one-way-in and one-way-out type of pattern.
Thank you to everybody who has worked to make this project a reality and success.
