The Oregon Rotary serves the Oregon area. The club is open to professionals who reside in the area who are interested in fellowship, community, and international service. The Oregon Rotary is very active in local and international projects, including youth exchange, vocational scholarships, Lerner Park development, roadside clean-up and international assistance and ecological support.

 

Ÿ Oregon Community Sports Arena

Construction has begun on the $2.5 million, 42,000-square-foot Oregon Community Sports Arena. The centerpiece of the facility will be an NHL-sized indoor hockey rink. The building will house a concession stand and a 4,000-square-foot community room. Construction is scheduled to be completed by October. Youth hockey, figure skating, high school hockey, adult leagues, open skate and speed skating will be offered this fall.

The Oregon Police Explorers Post #2235 is a group of young adults ranging in age from 14 to 21. They have an interest in becoming police officers or pursuing a career in law enforcement. The Explorers are affiliated with the Boy Scouts of America. The Explorers meet weekly to receive training in various police duties.

Funds raised will be earmarked to increase accessibility to their lodge building through the addition of an elevator.

 

The Masons support disaster relief, hospitals, senior citizens, Masonic youth programs and continuing education. The art of benevolence or charity has been a guiding principle for the Masons since their inception in the year 1717.

Thursday Night Bike Night and Flag Retirement Ceremony
Thurs, June 26 
Beginning at 5:30 PM

The local VFW Post performs ceremonies during Memorial Day and Veterans Day. Members also perform burial honors and march in parades bearing the colors of our nation. Members volunteer in the community, assisting the elderly and providing scholarships to local High School students. Fundraising includes pancake breakfasts every February and November.

Ÿ Parade

Fill the Food Pantry Truck:
Donate non-perishable food items at the Pantry’s Business Showcase Booth or bring non-perishables to the parade and donate when the truck passes your viewing point.

The Food Pantry serves people in the Oregon School District who are experiencing financial strain. A variety of food items are available. The Pantry is located in the Ed Hefty Warehouses on the corner of Union & Lincoln Roads. The Pantry is open from 3:00-6:00 PM on the last Thursday of the month and in November and December on the 2nd to the last Thursday.
