Text Box: Current Status (updated every Wednesday) Be in the know on the downtown road construction project.  Attend weekly Downtown Road Construction meetings every Wednesday at 9:00 AM in the Village board room. 11/12/08 Ÿ Downtown construction project is now substantially completed. Ÿ Incoming traffic from North Main street can now go through the newly constructed area and make a left at the Hitching Post. Ÿ All 4 access points will be open mid to late next week, weather permitting. Ÿ Period lighting will be shipped out by November 14. Ÿ Poles for traffic signals are being set this week. Ÿ Alliant Energy is on stand-by to install the traffic lights. Ÿ Planters and trees have arrived. Ÿ The stone work for the bridge is being worked on this week and paving is scheduled for this Saturday, weather permitting. Ÿ Downtown Road Construction Project will wrap up next week. Ÿ New holiday lights may be installed by the end of November. Ÿ The village will send a newsletter to discuss a snow removal plan next week. Ÿ The newsletter will recommend materials to be used for ice removal on the new concrete. Rock or road salt MUST NOT be used. The use of salt will pit the new concrete finish.
