After a year of COVID restrictions and challenges, the Relay For Life of Stoughton-McFarland-Oregon is having their 2021 event in-person. Join the Relay For Life of Stoughton- McFarland-Oregon (SMO) on Saturday, August 21 at Mandt Park at Mandt Park located at 400 Mandt Parkway in Stoughton. We will be a part of the Stoughton Coffee Break Festival during the day from 9:00 am- 3:00 pm. Visit our booth in the vendor area to pick up information, buy luminaria, make donations, play some games, and to enjoy interactive activities! Then at 4:30pm, SMO Event area opens by ball diamond (southwest corner of Mandt Park). There will be time for teams to set up their camps, socializing, visit with teams and survivors, and learn about Relay. Opening Ceremony will start at 6:30 PM with speakers, Honorary Survivor recognition, team recognition and other presentations. Guest speaker is Dr. Weiguo Cui Ph.D. He is a researcher at the Blood Research Institute, Versiti, Wisconsin and Associate Professor: Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the Medical College of Wisconsin. We will have time for walking around luminaria path, viewing luminarias and socializing with the eams and participants. At 8:00pm, we will have the Luminaria ceremony and continue walking around luminaria path. The event ends at 9:30pm and at that time, luminaria bags can be picked up if people want them.
